My U.S. I History teacher gave me this question for a research paper. Basically, the way I read the question, I saw it more of a question about internal conflicts within the abolitionist movement between white and black abolitionists, since black abolitionists wanted more equal rights while white abolitionists were mostly working towards literal abolition.

There aren't many sources, especially primary sources, on this topic so I was wondering if anybody could give me some ideas and point me in the right direction for my research.
