Did anyone rebel? What did Scottish and England people think of it?
There were many instances of people opposing the reunification and others such as u/dinwittie have answered similar questions in the past. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/9rem2n/how_much_of_the_jacobite_rebellions_in_the/
This is not my area of expertise as such I cannot myself answer the question however since I am currently studying the topic at length myself, I hope the mods will allow me the opportunity to offer some expanded reading which may benefit your search for answers. If you take an interest in the relationship of Scotland and England's unification and conflict therein I recommend you read up on the Jacobite uprisings of which there are three, and the rising in the north, an attempt to depose Elizabeth I in favor of mary, queen of scots. Books that could be of use for this purpose include James K. Lowers Mirrors for rebels: a study of polemical literature relating to the Northern Rebellion, 1569 and English Society, 1660-1832: Religion and politics during the Ancien Regime. By JCD Clark.
