There is plenty more to say on the topic, but I answered a similar question several years ago: https://np.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/5yyow3/how_did_lend_lease_armor_perform_in_soviet_service/
In addition to /u/TankArchives' post, which draws on some great primary-source work, I would recommend Dmitry Loza's memoir Commanding the Red Army's Sherman Tanks. It contains a couple of just-so stories of which I somewhat doubt the veracity (using Katyusha rocket artillery to clear infantry from friendly tanks by firing directly on said friendly tanks? Yeah, I have questions, Dima) but it's a great memoir and it gives some professional insights into tank/infantry cooperation (including tank desant which is a little hard to find writings on), tank tactics at the battalion level and lower, and also Loza's own experience of war. It's a quick read and well worth your time; James Gebhardt is a good translator.
