American Revolutionary War info

In terms of the revolution, are there any recommended books on how the war was actually won i.e tactics, deployments, battle descriptions, socioeconomic factors?

For general histories, John Ferling's Whirlwind: The American Revolution and the War that Won It. is quite good, solidly researched, well written. Don Higginbotham's The War for American Independence is also good, perhaps a bit more descriptive of the military course of the war than Ferling's, if that's your main interest.
