I was told the real reason Black Wall Street Was attacked had to do with a massive Hemp export deal, and the upcoming release of the Model A Ford, which was designed by George Washington Carver to run on hemp fuel. I saw one article and nothing ever since. Has anyone else heard this theory

I have not heard that theory OP, and from what I know generally of the time period and regions involved in such a theory (Detroit/Manhattan/eastern Oklahoma) I would say that theory is much too lofty.

I haven’t ever read evidence of an extra-local organizing coalition that coordinated the attack on Greenwood, and it doesn’t fit contemporary accounts, which are plentiful. With the many hundreds of people involved on both sides, and a clear record of the escalation (here is a concise summary which is consistent with others I have read https://www.tulsahistory.org/exhibit/1921-tulsa-race-massacre/), I find it supremely unlikely that this was directed from some mastermind(s) regionally or nationally.

It seems much more likely that it was ‘simply’ racially motivated at a very local level.

As an opportunity to examine a more recent and relatable event, the LA riots following the acquittal of the police who beat Rodney King were not coordinated by any outside element, and rather were the tipping point for local unease at local conditions which had been simmering for decades. I find this scenario likely in the 1906-1921 period in Tulsa, and in the 70’s/80’s in LA. From the outside both seemed more or less peaceful and stable, but from the inside people felt ripped off and were ready to boil year after year until a confrontation blew the lid off.

Edit to add: In reference to what was related to you from a survivor of the Tulsa massacre, I might guess that it was such a sudden, vicious, almost inhuman attack by neighbors against neighbors, that some people may have looked for a way to explain the motive away to a more ethereal source.

How else could one imagine regular people (that one will continue to be neighbors with for the rest of one’s natural life) could be capable of such terrible acts? How do you go on living with such people?

I am not really sure if you can link the 2 events, 20 years seperate "the attack on Black Wall Street" a massacre in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1921 and the unvailing of the "Soybean Car" Ford Model A made out of alternative materials in Dearborn, Michigan in 1941. The "Soybean car" develeped at Ford's Soybean Lab was born out of correspondence between Carver and Ford in 1939 while discussing a replacement for rubber, oil, and steel which was all being funneled to the effort to fight the Nazis during World War 2.

The resulting inventions were organic plastics made with hemp, soybean and corn (used for the body and frame), rubbers made of golden rod and potatoes (used for tyres and other bits and bobs), and better ethol alcohol for fuel similar to e85 made of many different type of plant sugars/starches. Also other manufacturers and anti Carver or anti Black detractors tend to say the only thing that was invented at the Soybean Lab was canned whipped cream, even though lots of the stuff developed there is still being used today.

The death of the hemp industry can be connected a bit to racism, as it was associated with poor Blacks and was renamed in a way to make it sound Hispanic to Marahuana thus a threat to "White Culture". but it was also a traditional product that threatened DuPont's new non organic plastics and Hearst's more standard wood pulp papers. The cultivation of hemp was hampered by the Marahuana act of 1937 and 1939. Because the new hemp mills that were invented in 1930 were poised to make hemp cheaper than wood because it was more easily processed and took less man hours to grow and make a final product.

Racial stuff i am not too well versed on, but I believe the race massacre happened because a Black 19 year old shoe shiner tripped while getting on an elevator and knocked the White 17 year old female elevator operator off a stool on memorial day. While he was on his way to the closest Black restroom on the top floor of the building. But there is some speculation about what really happened since his shineshop and the building across the street both should have been closed for Memorial Day 1921, like everything else in the Greenwood neighborhood in Tulsa and the guy and the girl most likely knew each other.

Edit: fixed some grammar and awkward word usage.
