I really don’t want to get political, so I’m just going to say the definition of communism is a stateless, classless, moneyless society with free access of goods and shared social ownership of the means of production, as explained by Marx and his definitions from Marxism. Of course, that’s not what any of the proclaimed “communist” or even “socialist” states say they are. But let’s just hypothetically say it is. Did they really kill so many people up to 100 million, and did the economic system itself do that?
“The black book of communism” is where that number comes from. This book as already been debunked as exaggerating and inflating numbers. So no the 100 million number isn’t factually correct. On top of that many of the deaths that did happen are put on the economic system unfairly. If the same was done to capitalism the numbers would be insanely high. Much higher than 100 million. But as it is in the world today it’s okay to shit on communism and spread propaganda but it’s not okay to even slightly talk negatively about capitalism.
