I was just wondering since i was looking up basic greetings in European Countries and found out Ireland has its own language.
Do every Irish citizen speak it? If so why not mainly speak it?
Gonna blow my own trumpet and link you this answer from myself which charts the decline of the Irish language over the course of the 19th century. As for the condition of Irish more recently, r/linguistics may be the better place to ask, Irish people have a love/hate relationship with the language thats really hard to untangle.
