I'm making a map based on this guide of Austro-Hungarian cities by size in 1910. A little above half way down the leftmost column, between Arad and Koloszcar, you can see a name which seems to say 'Hodmesoeva'. But google gives me nothing on this location.
Given that the entries are limited to 10 characters and there are some misspellings possibly related to the transliteration of names in various languages, then I'd make an educated guess that the city in question is Hódmezővásárhely in Csongrád-Csanád county, situated in the southeastern part of Hungary, close to the Romanian border. This city, formed in 15th century from villages Hód, Vásárhely, Tarján and Ábrány as Hódvásárhely was initially ratger small, but in late 19th century it underwent rapud development, reaching population of 50.000 it retains until today (now it ranks 23rd most populous Hungarian cities).
