Kind of like how writers now and in recent history write stories surrounding what they think life will be like in the next 50+ years, are there any stories/novels written in say the 1500s that depict what their idea of the future looked like at that time? How popular were those kinds of stories if there were?
It was hard to google this question and get answers but I found this discussion on a sci fi discussion page that has some pretty good answers to my question! If anybody has any additional information to provide that would be super, I was thinking about it last night and was very curious
