So I watched a video on youtube about the first contact with Europe and Japan, and how they described the Japanese. And in one moment they talk about punishing servants, they say in Europe we punish them by whiping, in Japan the punishment is long pause bedding. So does that mean what I think it means, and if so is it true ? Did the ancient Japanese really punsih servants with bedding them ?
