Any historians out there that are gathering source material digitally in an organised, searchable way for future use?

Can anyone recommend any software for use on Windows 10 PC, Mac or iOS that offers a good set of tools to help researchers gather various source material together in one place and organise it effectively so it can be rapidly searched and sorted?

I need it to accept photos, scanned documents and writing. But also would like it to let me add a webpage and include a snippet with a link to the original source.

Must allow annotation to be applied not just to each piece of content overall, but to sections of it. I.e add a note to a sentence found on the third paragraph of a scanned page.

Also needs to allow me to add titles, descriptions etc to each item.

Plus it must offer a tagging and/or categorisation system so content can be organised or grouped around similar themes.

And it would need to have a decent working search tool built in.

The applications I’ve found via several Google searches haven’t really turned up anything that looks suitable. And what I have found appears to be quite old and without any current development/ updates going on. It would be good to find an app that is quite current so it conforms to modern usability requirements and will definitely work on at lease one of the platforms I listed above.
