My SO has given me a Scythian trilobate arrowhead as an anniversary present. I know nothing about the culture, except what I've read on Wikipedia, and I'm looking to find out more. What would you suggest as an introduction to Scythian culture and war?

There is an excellent recent book published by Barry Cunliffe on the topic. It’s easy to read but still informative with lots of maps and pictures of finds. The book is called Scythians: Nomad Warriors of the Steppe and is published by Oxford University Press.
