I am comparing religions and i really wanna know if i can trust the bible historically This is important to me
Whilst religious texts do have a lot of value to historians, the accuracy of the history within them is often poor due to mythologisation by their authors. Our FAQ section on religion and mythology may have some answers for you. But as you can read about in this old answer by u/sunagainstgold, historians don't really go around judging the historical accuracy of religiously charged literature, but instead seek to work out what it meant to the people writing and reading it because that's more useful to us in trying to make sense of the past.
