Did France cheated and mistreated the hnungarian delegation at the treaty of Trianon?

by An_Oxygen_Consumer

Recently a guy in r/AskEurope gave me a very negative description of the treaty of Trianon, saying that the french

lied to us on every turn to make us comply with their demands promising us a seat at the peace talks, then arrested our delegation and only allowed them to make their case after the borders were already decided based on falsified documents we were given no opportunity to debunk.

Also he added that

Pál Teleki made such a strong case in half a dozen languages that most of the Entente representatives were considering extending the peace talks.. and then France vetoed that.

They seem claims too big to be true, especially considering that france had nothing to do with Hungary; is there any truth to this and if so why did the French mistreated the Hungarian so badly?

Oh, well, hungarian here. While most of those claims are a bit far feched, the Allies didn't treat the hungarian delegation very well, they made it really creal from the start that we don't have any say in the matter and nearly everything was pre determined.

As for why, I don't know that. I don't know any prior bad blood between us and the french (I doubt that it was because we once denied coperating with Napoleon). But I guess it was simply an act of showing off power.
