During the Allied occupation of Germany, Italy, and Japan, was there any violent resistance from the people?

I know that the French and Polish resistance were quite well known for putting up a fight against the Nazis. Was there anything similar going on when the roles were switched?

In Italy there was a very strong resistance movement, but it was against fascists and the Nazi occupation in the latest years of the war. So they actually were on the allies side when they arrived. You may have heard the song 'Bella ciao", it was one of the most famous songs from the resistance (partigiani). On the other side, Mussolini retreated to the north of Italy and founded the Saló Republic to try and maintain power, I don't know if that could be considered resistance?
