I wanted to read history based research papers to broaden my knowledge and more in-depth. But I am worried that if I choose some journal which might be biased and not having well credibility. So, if anyone can help finding more unbiased and interesting journals with thought provoking papers. It would be great help!
English-language academic history journals number in their thousands, hundreds of which are commonly considered first rate (in terms of impact, reputation, financing, and other more or less "important" measures).
Although there has in recent years been a push towards a greater degree of open access publishing within western academia, most of the articles published within such journals remain locked behind paywalls. If you don't want to pay for access yourself (and the price can be very steep indeed), you may nevertheless be able to get access through academic and/or educational institutions. Your local school, university, or public library may for instance offer access.
The list of journals is nevertheless far too long for me to put up any kind of comprehensive list here. Is there any sub-field or topic in particular you're interested in?
Also, if you want a curated list of decent history books, you could do worse than taking a look at our own AskHistorians Books and Resources list.
