Real question

Is there any reason that any question involving US action in Latin America on r /askhistorians, does not have an answer. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/aqkze9/how_instrumental_was_us_support_to_the_various/

That's not entirely the case.

However, it is true that our contributor base is lacking in scholars of Latin America and, surprisingly, of the 20th-centry US. While our IRL reach is expanding, most of our community is still Reddit-users who happened to be historians, rather than historians who joined Reddit because of us. This means our topic covered will inevitably be spotty.

To add to what /u/CommodoreCoCo said, I think there's also the issue of most questions regarding this subject being essentially the same, which in turn leads the few Latin American experts, myself included, to simply link to previous answers to questions very similar to this one.

Case in point, I've spoken about the true intentions behind the Monroe Doctrine, in which I also delve into the horrors inflicted on Latin América by the School of the Americas. I also wrote about US involvement in Argentina's last military dictatorship here.
