I’m really interested in medieval Russia or the period of Ivan the terrible and before, but I’ve had a hard time finding resources around that period. Does anyone have any recommendations?

On the other hand, while many entertainment 'historical' films on medieval Russia have recently been produced, I can find few historical documentaries to be worth recommended, at least in English (I knew at least one decent documentary on Medieval Novgorod and its Fur trade in German, but cannot identify it right now, sorry).
