The Middle Kingdom has long been comparatively neglected relative to the Old Kingdom and New Kingdom, but good resources do exist.
I recommend starting with The Middle Kingdom of Ancient Egypt: History, Archaeology and Society by Wolfram Grajetzki, which is probably the most comprehensive analysis of the Middle Kingdom. Grajetzki's Court Officials of the Egyptian Middle Kingdom and Tomb Treasures of the Late Middle Kingdom are also well worth a read.
The Met Museum recently hosted a splendid exhibition featuring the Middle Kingdom, so check out the exhibition catalogue Ancient Egypt Transformed: The Middle Kingdom for a good discussion of Middle Kingdom art in its cultural and historical context.
For daily life in Middle Kingdom Egypt, drawing largely on the archaeological and textual data from the pyramid town of Lahun, see Kasia Szpakowska's Daily Life in Ancient Egypt.
