And how did sexual taboos, in general become, taboo?
For some reason, this post gets no replies from the actual historians. But, it was raised in the Victorian era to protect teenage girls from being pimped. Not to demonise ordinary male sexuality, as it is abused today. (Sexual attraction to people at Tanner Stage IV, is not pathological. and depending on the age/situation of both partners, it can be socially acceptable.)
If a 13 year old is a sexually innocent being, then it makes no sense, if they can go on trial for rape. I want to now how this double standard came into being.
