I have read other Osprey books that are informative. I read Armies of the Ottoman Empire 1775-1820. I also read Armies of the Ottoman Turks, 1300-1774. Another book I read was The Jewish Revolt AD 66-74.

I've got Angus Konstam's book on the battle of Pavia, another battle of the Italian Wars. Yes, there's plenty of info in it, if you want to know about strategy, tactics, armaments, names of generals. They are also very well illustrated, both with period ones, and modern ones, and have very clear maps.

What you will not get in an Osprey book is a very deep history. You won't learn the entire background or get through analysis of the causes of the Italian Wars, how they came about. But that's OK, if you are mostly interested in the narrative of the battles themselves.
