After the WWI, Poland and a newly established Czechoslovia clashed about several areas along their borders. In today's Czech republic, it was especially area around Český Těšín, in Slovakia or was the area of Orava and in former comitat of Spiš. The results in Slovakia were following, Czechoslovakia obtained these areas from Poland: - Skalité, Hladovka, Suchá hora, Tatranská Javorina and Lesnica.
Slovakia lost these areas: - Vyšná Lipnica (Lipnica Wielka), Northeastern Orava around Jablonka, part of area under Rysy and Poľský Spiš.
