Are Dan Jones’ books academic?

by Memesforgloryofussr

They have a bibliography and footnotes but are they academic enough to cite in an undergrad essay?

I recently have been wondering the same thing. I have found many scholarly book reviews on JSTOR that all seem to reflect Dan Jones as an academic source worthy of citing. His extensive bibliography is also very helpful for finding sources. I’m planing on using him for one of my sources in an undergrad essay, but I’d also like to hear what others think.
