Hello, I want to deepen my knowledge on fascism. I want to focus on WWII regimes first (Mussolini, Hitler, and Franco). What books and/or documentaries would you recommend?
Ian Kershaw has a number of excellent works on Hitler, Nazism, and authoritarian regimes. I can recommend Hitler 1889–1936: Hubris and Hitler 1936–1945: Nemesis as fairly in-depth biographies I've read. Hitler, the Germans and the Final Solution takes a deep look at the Holocaust and German administrative State, showing how involved local officials and bureaucrats were throughout the genocide.
