Is it true that rulers couldn't press woman's claims on a title against a man? Also is it true that women couldn't inherit even a minor title if there was a male heir? Mainly asking about Europe during 11th century.
There is no general answer to this question.
The medieval age is a period of 1000 years, and rules and society changed drastically over these years - sometimes multiple times in only 25 years. Additionally, local laws and rules differed hugely and fast in different countries (and later, nations).
You will need to give us at least a period of approx. 100 years (like 9th century, 11th century or 14th century) and also a specific place, like England, Scotland, Germany, France, Japan, China... There were literally hundreds.
When you've chosen a place and time, someone here will gladly answer the question.
