The original iPod was released in 2001, does that mean the 20 year rule now allows the discussion of historical impacts of the iPod?

Not sure if anecdotes are allowed in meta threads, but when the iPod was released I, being the opinionated 20 year old I was, fired off an email to steve@apple.com telling him why I thought the iPod was a bad idea, especially because it was expensive and furthered the idea that Apple stuff was expensive, and how that was bad for them. Within a couple hours I got a reply from Steve Jobs explaining patiently why he disagreed. I guess he kinda won that argument...

Yes, although limited to its initial release, since anything related to long-term impact or later versions will still be a violation of the 20-year rule.
