Norse religious beliefs during the Viking era.

Hi a few questions. Is it well know what day to day religious practices for Norse in the 8-11 century looked like. If so what was it like. Furthermore, when did the Norse start to adopt Christianity and when did it filter back to Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Are there good sources about those topics?

Denmark was already exposed to Christianity by the time of its formation. On the big Jellingestone, raised in the 8th century, sometimes known as Denmarks birth certificate it says 'King Haraldr ordered this monument made in memory Gormr, his father, and in memory of Thyrvé, his mother; That Harald won himself all of Denmark and Norway, and made the Danes Christian' it is probably the most famous of the runestones, certainly within Denmark.

Of course Denmark didn't become Christian over night, by 1184 Denmark was crusading in Finland and Estonia, but even at that point some people probably believed in their old traditions alongside the new ones. Norse is a compilation of different customs, beliefs and legends. Scandinavians left no written sources on their religious practices.
