Hi there! I’m currently finishing my dissertation on Ukrainian Christianity during WWII and have read a lot around the history of Ukraine. Are you referring to the events after WWI when Ukraine became engaged in the wider Russian Civil War? I would highly recommend Serhii Plokhy’s The Gates of Europe. It is a great book with at least a few chapters around the events of WWI and the Russian Civil War, but also contextualises it in a longer history of Ukraine.
