It seems like a solidly divisive issue today between political parties, but I have never gotten a good answer. It's been over 70 years now; surely there must be evidence one way or the other..
Was the New Deal good for the American economy and fix the great depression? Or did it cause a massive downturn that was only overcome by America being the sole industrial free-market power post WW2?
