End goals of Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan

So, Hitler's plans for conquest and how he imagined an ideal nazi society are rather common knowledge but what about the other Axis powers? I ask two specific questions.

1.What were Mussolini and Hirohito realisticly hoping to achieve during their lifetime?

  1. What were their ultimate end goals? Imperial Japan/Fascist Italy achieved everything it wanted to achieve, defeated everyone it wanted to defeat, has all the resources it needs and gets to run it's ideal society unopossed. How did Hirohito and Mussolini expect a world like this to look like?

Given my focus area, I will be looking almost entirely at what Imperial Japan hoped to accomplish at the end of the war.

Perhaps first and foremost, asking what the Shōwa Emperor (more commonly known in the West as Emperor Hirohito) envisioned is a bit off the mark. While the question of his direct complicity in Imperial Japan's wartime actions remains a matter of scholarly debate, the Emperor in Japan did not hold the same kind of dictatorial power as Mussolini did in Italy or Hitler did in Germany. Neither, for that matter, did Tojo or any other individual Japanese leader. Politics in Imperial Japan was a chaotic mix where no one organ held supreme authority, and all policy ultimately had to be shaped by the consensus of the Army, Navy, and civilian government. This meant that what Japan sought to create at the end of the war would vary dramatically depending on when and who you ask.

Both /u/StarWarsNerd222 and myself go into a lot of detail on that exact question here.
