My advice to you is to start with a particular event in history, or a particular person, and then begin your reading from there. I’m not sure what country you’re in, or how much they’ve taught, but ask yourself, what is something that you’ve learned in a lesson that you would like to know more about? Has there been a movie or documentary on an event/person that you have questions about?

By reading about something of interest, you’ll not only answer your own questions, but you’ll come up with many more and most importantly, you will (hopefully) enjoy the material that you’re learning about!
