Why are the armed forces of Nazi Germany called by the original german names in modern military history circles?

I find this to be very odd

Incording to my research the original war documents by the allies just called them by the english equivelants (navy airforce and army)

So why did this start and why?

Funny how Japan more usually gets the translations, though. You may hear of Kido Butai, but otherwise, one doesn't hear of the Dai-Nippon Teikoku Kaigun and its achievements or where the Kaigun Tokubetsu Rikusentai landed.
