Historians, is there more evidence that Jesus did exist, or that he didn't, and is there sufficient proof for either?

And, if he is a real person, what evidence (or lack there of) is there to any of the myths in the Bible?

Hi -- this is a fairly frequently asked question here. The short version of what you can see on those links is that yes, historians generally agree that there was a real person named Jesus who was an itinerant preacher and whose followers founded Christianity; historians don't get into whether he died and rose from the dead, etc. (For that you want the theology department, over there 👉🏻 ). The question to ask about things like miracles and myth is is not really whether they existed, but what the goal of miracle stories is -- how did people at the time relate to them, what do they say about their communities, etc.
