I have been taught that humans have always fought over resources and that for most of human history resources such as food, water land etc has been limited why is there such an emphasis in procreation. Why did society not try to control or reduce population i.e. why no early malthus?
As I said, why has society emphasised large families and population growth historically if resources and what one could use and obtain have been limited until relatively recently
