Why didn’t Japanese Army during WW2 try to take down US atomic-bomb carrying planes?

by Kaiotaki

This never made sense to me, Japanese Army during WW2 was famous in their use and implementation of Air Force in different scenarios and situations yet, i never knew if they ever even tried to take down those planes

So, have they tried to do so? And if not, is it because of lack of information or was it something else?

They would have found it difficult to do so. This being a nuclear question, we of course turn to the efforts of u/restricteddata:

And should anyone else have further insight on the matter, go right ahead and post away!
