In "Oslo", the Palestinian finance minister claims to have never met an Israeli face to face. Could this possibly be true? Were Palestinians so segregated from the Israelis that a Palestinian could have gone their whole lives without meeting an Israeli?

I'm referring to Oslo on HBO Max about the Oslo peace accords.

Apologies, but I haven't been able to watch Oslo. I presume this is during the negotiations in the 1990s to reach the Oslo I agreement, in 1993? If so, I can answer, but I'd like to be clear on what timeline I'm discussing. Part of the reason I am confused is that the Palestinian Authority had not been set up in 1993, or the negotiations prior, and would not be set up until later, so there was no Palestinian Finance Ministry, unless you're referring to the PLO's Finance Minister, which was only one among many groups (though undoubtedly the largest) representing Palestinians and did not have full, legitimate recognition until Oslo I as the representative of the Palestinian people by much of the international community.
