As a 17 year old who loves history a lot it’s basically my everything, is it worth studying history in college? I want to do so but I’m being told not to, I’ve got next year as my final year to decide

The history major builds excellent skills for: analysis, persuasion, research, writing, and presenting.
These are all valuable traits in many careers. I have a history degree and I work in financial analysis and risk management. I use transferable skills from my degree often, even though I don’t leverage the specific subject matter I studied often.
