As the title asks, I'd like to read more about this fascinating figure. I'd just like some advice to help make sure I'm reading accurate information :)
Adrian Goldsworthy Philip and Alexander is recent and really good. It gives good detail and an overview of Philip and the rise of Macedon which was followed by Alexander.
If you want something more detailed I'd say Robin Lane Fox's biography is the best. While it defintely has a more favourable view of Alexander his passion can be felt throughout and it explains many details i.e motiovations, which interpretation of events was more likely, the perspective of the Persians and City State Greeks. Peter Green's is another good biography and second to Robin Lane Fox's.
