• /u/RusticBohemian asked If Sparta wanted to take the Pelopenisan League to war, it had to submit the proposal to the council of the Pelopenisna League, in which all member states theoretically had a vote. How independent was this league in reality? Did they mostly just do what Sparta wanted?

• /u/nueoritic-parents asked I’ve heard the introduction of swimsuits in the early 20th century led to complaints from men, who didn’t want to cover their nipples in a one-piece. Apparently, led to it being acceptable in the West for men to be shirtless in a non-sexual way, at least at the beach. Is any part of this true?

• /u/Divorcefrenchodad asked I am a peasant rice farmer in Japan during the Edo period. Am I aware that the shogun is in control and has all authority? Or do I think the emperor has authority and makes decisions?
