I heard it in a quick Youtube video about the Crusades but I can’t find any information or sources that infer that this is true?
I answered a similar question recently: Why did the Crusader States repeatedly enter peace treaties with the Muslim leaders (and vice versa) and why did they never break them?
That one was asking why they didn't break treaties, but I also talked about some situations where they did break them.
