Today:
Welcome to this week's instalment of /r/AskHistorians' Sunday Digest (formerly the Day of Reflection). Nobody can read all the questions and answers that are posted here, so in this thread we invite you to share anything you'd like to highlight from the last week - an interesting discussion, an informative answer, an insightful question that was overlooked, or anything else.
Happy Halloween everyone! This is easily one of my most favorite holidays of the year, so I am ramping up with fun stuff over here. We didn’t have to many spooky threads this year, but we do continue to have some awesome fair for you to enjoy! Jump into the hundreds of answers available, don’t forget to show some appreciation to the hard working writers who make such good stuff, and check out the usual weekly fair!
AskHistorians Podcast 185 - Jinn and Streaming History with Laura Castro-Royo was super interesting!
Some folks still looking for suggestions in The Thursday Reading and Rec!
Don’t forget to drop by the Friday Free for All!
We also got some Questions about this sub!
That wraps us up for another week. Stay safe out there folks wherever you are, keep the spooky mood going, and I’ll see you next week!
Let’s also take a moment to shout out the fascinating questions that still cry out for experts. Feel free to post your own, or others you saw, and perhaps a wandering expert will notice and stop by!
/u/sgarrido85 asked Did feudalism have any impact on the building of cities in Medieval Europe?
/u/Omni314 asked What were planets/heavenly bodies called before the Western Greek god names became standard?
/u/PickleRick1001 asked I'm attending a Gladiator game. Am I not entertained?
