Hello!
So I’ve been having this thought mentioned above as of late as there are a reasonable amount of asian dishes that incorporate new world vegetables and fruits. Not nearly as much as it does in European cuisine but besides that, how did the Columbian Exchange occur in Asia and or Africa? Were there similar reactions to the new commodities there as there were in Europe? Did they understand that the Americas were a newly discovered continent and knew these trade goods originated there?
