Why did General Prats during the Tanquetazo (1973 failed coup in Chile) use forces from the Junior Officers' Academy to quell the rebellion instead of other regular units ?

I was reading this, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanquetazo. And I was wondering why this happened. The Politics of coups in General.

He used the units he had at his disposal, in this case the units whose headquarters are in Santiago (the Academy, the Buin Regiment and the Tacna Regiment). Souper used some troops from the Batallón Blindado 2. Prats approached La Moneda, where the tanks were waiting, with the Academy troops, but later it was the Tacna who made Souper surrender and the Buin arrived later as reinforcements.
