Did Spiro Agnew’s corruption investigation and resignation in 1973 have any impact on the Watergate scandal and Richard Nixon’s eventual resignation?

I talk about this in a previous answer here; the short version is that the absurdly lenient deal that Agnew secured using leverage over the similar pending legal issues of Watergate was a significant factor in why Ford's pardon of Nixon was received so poorly - as the perception was (wrongly, as it turned out) that Nixon had cut a similar deal.
