No.
We don't know how much gold Musa brought with him. Shihab al-Umari's account comes about 12 years after the pilgrimage, and al-Umari never spoke to Musa or any Malian, only to their hosts in Cairo. Also, al-Umari never says Musa crashed the world economy, nor even that he crashed the Cairo economy. He says:
This man [Mansa Musa] flooded Cairo with his benefactions. He left no court emir nor holder of a royal office without the gift of a load of gold. The Cairenes made incalculable profits out of him and his suite in buying and selling and giving and taking. They exchanged gold until they depressed its value in Egypt and caused its price to fall.” …
Gold was at a high price in Egypt until they came in that year. The mithqal did not go below 25 dirhams and was generally above, but from that time its value fell and it cheapened in price and has remained cheap till now. The mithqal does not exceed 22 dirhams or less. This has been the state of affairs for about twelve years until this day by reason of the large amount of gold which they brought into Egypt and spent there. …
A Mithqal is a unit of weight as well as name of a coin. Dirham is also a unit of weight and also name of a coin.
So Al Umari is either saying that 1 mithqal weight of gold was worth 25+ dirham weight of silver. Or that 1 mithqal gold coin was worth 25 or more dirham silver coins.
But after Musa gave away so much gold, the value reduced an undetermined amount and remained approximately 12% below it's pre-pilgrimage value.
Sensationalized internet articles that emphasize Musa's wealth tend to cite quotes from the Tarikh al Fattash or the Tarikh as-Sudan both of which were written about 280-300 years after the pilgrimage. The pilgrimage happened circa 1324, Tarikh al-Fattash written after 1600 and Tarikh as-Sudan written after that.
We don't have good or reliable enough sources to accurately estimate how much gold or how many slaves Musa brought on his pilgrimage to Mecca. We have even less information (approximately zero information) about the level of wealth of an average Malian at the time.
We just can't make a meaningful statement in this matter, that is not based upon guesswork and suppositon.
