Looking for books covering the life, times and ideas of Cardinal Richelieu. And maybe a little bit detail on how Europe reached its own modus vivendi under Richelieu and Mazarin. Would like to understand the statecraft that they applied. Preferably published recently... post 2010 or such.
I would appreciate any suggestions regarding
Thank you!
Are there any textbooks for 8th through 12th grade that would give opposing view points? ( i e. American colonial settlers were upset they with quartering British troops. The average British citizen believed quartering troops in the colonial homes protected them from attacks from hostile Indians and French troops…..Poor example I know but hopefully you can see what I’m looking for.)
I read about how important pre-orders can be earlier this week, so, I’d love to hear about any upcoming books from authors y’all like!
Are there any books I can read with detailed accounts of life in eastern and/or central Europe in the late 14th and 15th centuries? Looking for anything that details what life was like for the average peasant, noble and soldier in that time. Also any recommendations for more general history of that time and place would also be appreciated.
Suggestions regarding good articles and books concerning air raids on Germany (specifically from 1943 onwards) would be greatly appreciated. Currently reading Richard Overy’s ‘The Bombing War’.
Anything on the Roman army would be appreciated. Also anything that specifically delves in to Centurions would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for books about daily life in Three Kingdoms era China and pre Forced-Assimilation/Conquest Indigenous Americas (any tribe/nation). Any Reccomendations?
