I am seeking recommendations for works on Georgian history prior to Russian annexation and Armenian history after the 14th century. While I mainly want comprehensive resources, works on narrow topics would also be interesting as well. I have already read R.G Suny’s The making of the Georgian nation and The Armenian people from ancient to modern times, ed. R.G Hovannisian.
You've already listed the first two books that I would suggest on the topic, but I'll give some further suggestions, albeit focused on Georgia. A caveat though in that most of these are quite old, as there isn't a lot of recent scholarship on this subject (at least not that I'm familiar with; I mainly deal with more modern sources):
A History of the Georgian People by W.E.D. Allen (1932) Specifically looks at pre-1801 Georgia, that is pre-annexation.
The Georgians by David Marshall Lang (1966) would also be something to consider. It does get into the more modern era as well, but Lang has a focus on the early years, too.
Edge of Empires: A History of Georgia by Donald Rayfield (2012). A far more modern book, and one that covers the entire history up to the present day.
I would also suggest looking into the works of Cyril Toumanoff. He was active decades ago, but wrote extensively on both medieval Armenia and Georgia.
This is hardly my area of expertise, but I happen to have read a book on modern Armenian nationalism and revolutionary/nationalist movements. It's The Armenian Revolutionary Movement: The Development of Armenian Political Parties Through the Nineteenth Century by Louise Nalbandian. I believe you can find it online here: https://archive.org/details/bub_gb__dIsS3aidr0C A bit more specific than what you are looking for, perhaps, but I hope it helps.
