As the title says, I saw someone writing that Hitler left Austria to avoid conscription there and later joined the German army. So I searched on google and found that many sources are stating this

I remember in middle school learning that he wanted to serve and was rejected from the Austrian army due to an illness. He was able to later join the German army because they were accepting people more openly. This is what Ive believed and also seems like the more sensible answer. Why are some now saying otherwise?
