The question I’ll ask you is which French-Indian War are you discussing, as there are at minimum four different conflicts spanning the years 1688 to 1763. I assume you’re speaking of the most famous French-Indian War, the one that was an aspect of the greater Seven Years’ War and occurred between 1754-1763 (well, sorta. It’s debatable). While I’ve never heard this story, especially in the context of the North American theatre of the Seven Years’ War, it could be the starting point of hostilities in one of the other French and Indian Wars, or more likely one of the many colonial wars simply between natives and colonizers rather than two colonial powers.
