Apologies of this isn’t the proper place for this post. I’ve always been fascinated by the Viking’s and after watching The Northman my interest was reignited. Can anyone suggest books that comprehensively cover the history of the Vikings, their origins, and general information? Thank you all.
While more can always be said, /u/textandtrowel and I recently also discussed a validity of the books list (including some more casual readings) as well as its possible update as a introduction to the Vikings (thus not limited to those active in the British Isles) in: Is this a legit starter kit for reading about the Vikings?, so I hope the books mentioned in the linked thread will meet OP's interest.
The books and links that I also compiled in this recent thread, Are there any good starter books that are educational about the Vikings? are of more casual nature.
